Focus on Ground & Pound. Once you get them down, get them out [of the fight]. If they are willing to physically attack you, consider them a threat until they are incapacitated, unconscious or otherwise effectively restrained.

  • Always base your response on the totality of the circumstances.

  • You will notice that the [assumed] defender briefly employs Hammer Fists and Forearm Head Slams, but fails to eliminate the threat.

  • The [assumed] attacker uses Deception to mislead the defender, pause the effective suppression of his attack and then gain control of the circumstances to reattack in a far more advantageous position.

  • Never go looking for a fight, but if “a fight finds you”:

    • De-escalate if possible.

    • Defend yourself to gain position.

    • Attack the Attacker to gain control of the circumstances.

    • Retaliate based on the requirements to Eliminate the Threat.

      • Subdue the Attacker, if reasonably possible.

      • Incapacitate the Attacker, if reasonably required.
