Talking Point: Clean Hands Are a Gamechanger…PLEASE watch each clip again…
What specific target did they strike to turn off the lights?
Look for new aspects each time…the setup, footwork, head movement, body position.
The top OK strike in these videos…the Rear Overhand Hook (a #4 variant). It’s an effective strike but presents an increased potential for breaking your (unwrapped/ungloved) hand.
Watch that Rear Elbow KO in the next to last reel. It’s a good example of a practical, effective strike you can use, regardless of your size. Solid practice will make it far more likely work!

15 Rds x 0:40/0:20 = 15:00 w/ 10 sec Power Out at the end of each Round
We will work a 5-combo circuit, specifically focusing on precise execution, not power. Power will come with precision.
Start of finish with a kick…we will use Front Kicks, Check Kicks and Side Kicks to control distance with each combo.
These combo drills will reinforce:
Striking fundamentals and
Closing Distance to overwhelm the opponent. Why that…do you know?
Creating Distance using Kicks…focused on balance and footwork.

GROUP DISCUSSION:
Based on the collective training and experience of the group, do we need to modify our Reaction Combo?
Is a 1 Catch, 2 Body, 3 Body, 2 Head a faster, smother combo?
Does it line you up better for the Rear Elbow continuation, when needed?
EXP: Here are some Reaction Combo variants. 1 OR 2 ? My favorite #boxing #repost | Instagram
[Standard] Reaction Combo
Catch the attack with the Lead Hand.
Slip to the left and Cross (#2) to the Body, impacting the diaphragm to temporarily disrupt the Attacker’s ability to breath properly.
Lead Hand Hook (#3) to the Body, impacting the liver area to lower Attacker’s right hand and deter their assault via effective pain application.
**It’s a #2 Liver shot if you’re orthodox. If you are southpaw, it’s another shot to the diaphragm, with Floating Ribs.
Lead Hand Hook (#3) to the Head, impacting the Mandibular Angle area to lower Attacker’s right shock the Nervous System, disrupt the assault and begin rendering the Attacker incapacitated.
